Itinerary:  Istanbul / Çanakkale / Bozcaada / Assos / Pergamum / Izmir

 

Day 01:  Arrival in Istanbul
Upon arrival at Atatürk International Airport, meet with your professional license tour guide and assisted transfer to the selected hotel.  Arrive hotel and walking orientation tour of hotel and the area. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 02: Istanbul / Full day Sightseeing tour
Meet your tour guide at hotel lobby for a full day sightseeing tour. Today our visits include Roman Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar. Evening is at leisure.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 03:  Istanbul / Çanakkale
Today we will transfer to Çanakkale and visit Gallipoli memorial. Overnight is at selected hotel in Çanakkale.
Meal: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 04:  Çanakkale / Bozcaada (Tenedos)
The drive features Dardanelles Strait and legendary Troy ancient site. After our visit we will proceed to the Geyikli pier and depart for overnight in Bozcaada. Upon arrival we will have a walking orientation tour and we will taste the famous wines of this island. Bozcaada-Tenedos -has a population of about 2,500. The main industries are fishing and tourism. The island has been famous for its grapes, wines and red poppies for centuries. The population is mostly Turkish but there are still about 30 ethnic Greeks on the island.
Overnight is in the selected hotel.

Day 05:  Bozcaada / Assos
After our breakfast we will proceed to pier and depart for Assos.
Assos is a small historically rich town in Behramkale. Aristotle lived here and opened an Academy. The city was also visited by St. Paul. Today Assos is an Aegean-coast seaside retreat amid ancient ruins. It is possible to see much of the surrounding area from the top of a Trachyte Crag. From this temple, it was possible to see Lesbos in the south, Pergamum in the Southeast, and Mount Ida of Phyriga in the East. To the North, the Tuzla River flows. To the Northwest, there is the gate to the city of two massive Hellenic columns that still exist today. Overnight is in the selected hotel in Assos.

Day 06:  Assos / Sightseeing tour of the region Ida
In the morning we will transfer for a full day sightseeing tour. We will visit an olive oil factory and Olive Museum. Adatepe Olive Oil Museum is Turkey's first and only museum dedicated to preserving the literary and visual history of olive oil production in Turkey.

The museum itself is a restored antique soap factory re-designed to display various precious artifacts related to olive culture, collected from the local villagers. The visitors will be amazed at the very simple procedure of olive oil extraction by the traditional methods in autumn and winter.
They may also witness the demonstration of pure olive oil soap making; you may take home some samples of both olive oil and soap from the gift shop.
Adatepe village lies at the western slopes of Mount Ida, overlooking the Aegean Sea and Lesbos Island.

This area was the temporary home to Paris,son of King Priam of Troy, where he enjoyed his pastoral life before being invited to judgement in the first beauty contest between Athena, Hera and Aphrodite.
Here the view is breathtaking and you will be fascinated by the smell of thousands of herbs and wild flowers mixed with the soft wind coming from the Aegean Sea.

Later we will visit Altar of Zeus, town of Altinoluk and we will have a panoramic tour of old town Altınoluk where we can have a tea/coffee break with the wonderful view.
Our last stop is Ayvalık, after a short walking orientation tour we will have leisure time here and transfer back to our hotel. Overnight is in Assos.

Day 07: Assos / Pergamum / Izmir
After early breakfast in the hotel depart for a full day tour of Pergamum ancient site, including visits of Acropolis and Asclepion. Later we will transfer to Izmir, after a panoramic tour of this beautiful city we will transfer to our selected hotel in Izmir. Evening is at leisure.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 08:  Izmir / Istanbul
After breakfast check out from our hotel and transfer to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport for homebound flight.
